πŸ‘Phase 3: Signal Voting

In this Phase, you will submit your Proposal that has Discord community support for signal voting. Signal voting is a gasless voting mechanism (via Snapshot) to gauge community approval, before it moves to on-chain voting.

About Snapshot Signal Voting

Who can propose?

Only SWINGBY holders who have staked their SWINGBY on the DAO UI & have at least 260,000 vSWINGBY can propose a proposal.

If you are proposing a proposal, but do not meet this requirement. Please inform a moderator to help get your proposal published.

Who can vote? All SWINGBY holders who have staked their SWINGBY on the DAO UI & have vSWINGBY (voting power) can vote on the Snapshot. For tutorials on how to stake SWINGBY, please check out this document.

Process

1. Create New Proposal on Snapshot

In this step, please create a new Proposal on the Swingby Snapshot page.

  • Enter the same title and description as your GIthub SWIP title and Final Proposal description.

  • Include a link to the Discord discussion thread, as well as your Github PR link.

Once this proposal is live, please paste the Snapshot link in your Discord discussion

2. Let voting begin

When a Social Ratification Proposal has quorum of 45% and >60% votes in favour, the Proposal is considered passed and executed. The various workstreams and stakeholders should start putting the proposal into action.

When an On-chain or Governance proposal has quorum of 45% and >60% votes in favour, the Proposal should be ready for Phase 4: Onchain-Voting.
